Russia has boosted the greenhouse vegetable yield 23%

Russia has built up the greenhouse vegetable yield up to 535.2 k t, which is 23% higher than the last-year equivalent, as reported by the Ministry of Agriculture.

The leaders of greenhouse vegetable production in agricultural organizations and farm enterprises are the Krasnodar Territory — 68 k t, followed by Stavropol Territory — 41.9 k t, and Bashkiria — 29.8 k t, as informed by Interfax referring to the Ministry.

There is a registered growth of the country’s greenhouse industry after the introduction of EU product embargo, as counter sanctions of Russia. In particular, as reported by the Ministry, the vegetable import to Russia was cut by half since the start of embargo.
