Since the beginning of the year, the government of the Primorye territory has allocated 23.4m RUB to support commercial greenhouses.
“11m RUB are invested in “Dalnevostochnoye” and over 12bn RUB were allocated to Lazurnoye facilities. These funds are aimed at the reimbursement of operational expenses”, informed acting director of the agriculture department in Primorye Alexey Taran.
In the past 5 years gross food production in Primorye has increased by 14%. Primorye agrarians produce food not only to meet the domestic demand, but also for export. Primorye annually delivers about 93k tonnes of maize and 66k tonnes of soya to APR.
“Our region almost meets the demand in potato and vegetables”, said the Governor, Mr. Miklushevsky.
The successful development of agriculture became possible due to measures applied within the state programme “The development of agriculture and market management. Upgrading the living standards of Primorye citizens”.
The programme provides for the multilateral support for agri-companies in the Primorye. Among the support measures: reimbursement of expenses on acquisition of machinery, equipment; grants, etc.
According to Primorye Vice-Governor Denis Bochkarev, 1.5bn RUB from the regional budget and 1.7bn from the federal were allocated to bolster regional agriculture.
