Lettuce, basil, parsley, and dill will be soon cultivated in Gvardeysk

Regional government issued the permission for the construction of a new greenhouse complex in Zvenievoye settlement of the Gvardeysky district. The area of the facility will total 32,88k sq.m.
Orbita-Agro Company intends to launch the production of lettuce in November, and in Autumn 2018 they will plant cucumbers and tomatoes. That was reported by the head of the facility Shaig Mamedov.
Our goal is to expand the range of local products. Currently, only one facility in the region is engaged in the cultivation of lettuce. We are planning to launch 5 lines with leafy lettuce, basil, parsley and dill. Vegetables will be supplied to retail chains in pots, enabling products to retain their freshness.
Overall project cost exceeds 400mn RUB. A part of the fund will be borrowed. “Our banks have tightened the requirements. Now it is obligatory to provide a lot of documents. Due to this fact, the cost of the greenhouse complex increased by 20bn RUB”, complained the Head of the company.
Since 2010, Orbita-Agro has been involved in the cultivation of greenhouse vegetables. In 2014, the company launched its first greenhouse complex in Zvenievoye settlement. Now, Orbita-Agro cultivates cucumbers, tomatoes, and strawberries in greenhouses.
