Murat Kumpilov, Executive District Officer, visited a greenhouse husbandry “Raduga” within the framework of his working trip to Maykopsky district. The husbandry is among the largest vegetable producers in the region.
Khizir Jarimok, Director, reported that the company employs 109 people. Last year 1.7 k tonnes of vegetables were harvested on the territory of 6 ha. The products are cultivated without using toxic chemicals – they were substituted by bio plant protection agents produced in Holland and Israel. Ecologically clean vegetables are sold quickly not only in Adygeya, but also in Moscow, Krasnodar and Sochi.
“Raduga” is a participant of agriculture state support programmes and for the recent 5 years obtained subsidies estimated at more than 14 mio. RUB.
Murat Kumpilov stated that small farms and individual husbandries should adjust the technologies applied in «Raduga”. The greenhouse complex applies an updated technology which combines the use of mineral wool and drip watering.
Many colleagues from the neighbouring greenhouses visit “Raduga” to adopt the best practice of vegetable cultivation. According to complex’s management board, in the next 3 years they plan to expand the production and construct one more greenhouse with a seedling section on the territory of 1.5 ha and a vegetable warehouse for 500 tonnes.
