A vegetable greenhouse 1.5 billion RUB worth will be built in Gusev city district of the Kaliningrad region

A cucumber and tomato greenhouse will be built in Gusev city district. The project investment is estimated at 1.5 bln RUB, as reported by RBC.
The greenhouse will be established in Pervomaisky village. On 30 March, the project was approved by the Investment Council Board.
Greenhouse design engineering is underway. The commissioning of the facility is scheduled for summer. As informed by CAO of Teplichniy Kompleks, carrying out the project, the greenhouse area will amount to 8 ha. The vegetable yield will total to 3 tons per sqm annually.
By investor’s estimates, the overall project cost will amount to 1.5 bln RUB. 450 mln RUB will be invested by the company, while 1.050 bln RUB will be loaned.
The greenhouse facility will create 110 employment opportunities. From 2021 on, the company will pay 10.5 mln RUB annually to various budget levels.
The investment council has appointed the high-profile status to the project. Anton Alikhanov, Interim Governor of the Kaliningrad region, has instructed the regional Ministry of Agriculture to explore the possibility of project participation in the capital outlay subsidy programme.
As had been reported before, the apple orchard with greenhouses will be laid near Bagrationovsk. The project cost is estimated at 400 mln RUB.
